Mount Rushmore of Wrestlemania #ManiaRushmore

March 26, 2011 5 comments

Bill Simmons (@sportsguy33) regularly on his podcast asks his guests who would be on the “Mount Rushmore of…” of various sports.  Picking the four most important figures that need to be immortalized forever on the side of a mountain.

Wrestlemania is the “must-see” event on every year on the WWE calendar.  As fans, we all start our Wrestlemania Journey in different years.  Mine started at Wrestlemania 2 and 3 (read article here).  You have a great match at a Summerslam or Bragging Rights, it might be remembered that year but if you have a great match at Wrestlemania it’s immortalized forever.

Savage vs. Steamboat at Wrestlemania 3, Michaels vs. Razor at Wrestlemania X, Hogan vs. Rock at Wrestlemania 18, Austin vs. Bret Hart at Wrestlemania 13, Undertaker vs. HBK at Wrestlemania 25.  These matches and moments cemented the Hall of Fame careers of these wrestlers.  Who had the most career defining moments and left the biggest mark at this event?  Which men are the best of the best?  Who deserves to be up on the Mount Rushmore of Wrestlemania?

This is the week of Wrestlemania and everyone is buzzing.  So share your list with the world.  Tweet your Mount Rushmore of Wrestlemania with #ManiaRushmore.  I’ll put them up on our Facebook page – http://www.facebook.com/IWantWrestling.  Let’s see how many people can share their Wrestlemania Rushmore!  Share this article and hashtag – #ManiaRushmore

My #ManiaRushmore?  Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin
